Ken to Mahou (lit. Sword and magic) is a fantasy role-playing game published by KOEI in 1983 for FM-7 and PC88.
An evil wizard has killed the benevolent king of Border Land and captured the princess. It is up to a lone adventurer to rescue the princess and restore peace in the land. The player can choose between nine character types that include both classes (Fighter, White Knight, Black Knight, Druid, Pilgrim, and Wizard) and races (Human, Dwarf, and Elf), each with different attributes that influence their performance in combat. The game world is open and consists of top-down areas with simple graphics and icons representing towns and castles where the protagonist can rest. Turn-based one-on-one battles allow the player to choose between various types of attacks and a single "magic" command.
