Khufu-Ou no Himitsu (クフ王の秘密, lit. King Khufu's Treasure) is a dungeon crawler developed and published by KOEI in 1983. The player takes control of an adventurer who enters an ancient Egyptian pyramid in search of the legendary treasure allegedly buried there by the pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) in 26th century B.C. The player has to keep an eye on the protagonist's energy level and procure food rations to prevent him from starving. The player character also has energy points that may be depleted when running into hostile creatures. Most of the challenge lies in exploring the maze-like environments, while the interface is kept simple, with only one key responsible for most actions.
